Desde pequeña aprendí a crear, mi madre se dedico a la decoración de eventos, entre muchas otras cosas, de allí comenzó mi mente a comprender como tomar medidas, tallar anime, evaluar los espacios para decorar con globos y por supuesto cocinar, la cocina nos enseña versatilidad nos permite crear y conocer texturas, sabores, olores...
En mi entorno siempre estuve rodeada de familiares con mucha creatividad modistas, reposteras, mi papá también es pintor así que aprendí a ver el mundo desde una perspectiva creativa.
A los 14 años mi mamá me llevo a un bazar de chinos y allí me compro mis primeros insumos para bisutería, cristales, dijes, cueros, mis primeras pinzas, desde esa época me enamoró la idea de ser diseñadora. A esa edad mi tía me hacia los pantalones como yo me los imaginaba, así que esto rondó desde muy jovencita en mi cabeza. Luego incursioné en el mundo del modelaje y tuve algunas salidas como diseñadora de joyas en ese entonces con el apoyo de la academia a la que pertenecía y mi gran amigo Javier Torres.
Estudié Ingeniería Mecánica una carrera que me permitió aprender mucho sobre diseño, aunque es diferente me aportó muchísimo, y me permiten ver las cosas desde otra perspectiva. También trabajé con tortas de fondant, tuve una empresa de venta de insumos médicos durante varios años junto a mi esposo hasta que luego de salir de una operación y varias semana de reposo comencé a hacer collares con trenzas de zapatos, dijes con mucho brillo y así comencé de nuevo con esta pasión que me acompaña hace muchos años y que siempre ha estado presente, al poco tiempo estaba diseñando joyería con cristales, strass diseños personalizados para novias y patrocinio de eventos de belleza.
Desde ese momento hace 7 años me quedé dedicada a esta mi pasión el diseño de modas.
Un momento fuerte fue cuando tomé la decisión de emigrar de mi país, conmigo viajaron mis hijos, mis sueños y mis esperanzas. En el 2019 salió la línea Renacer una colección que dio paso a lo que hoy conocemos como Montecano una marca de Alambrismo Fino mezclado con Gemas naturales que nos enamoran a través de su pureza y exclusividad. Actualmente estudio orfebrería y recién aperturamos nuestro taller de carteras y bolsos. Así que crece la marca para ustedes.
Este año nuestra marca ha estado presente en desfiles, estamos en dos tiendas físicas en Quito y tenemos nuestra pagina web, nos enorgullece ir creciendo de manera orgánica y que ustedes conozcan de donde venimos, que les ofrecemos y hacia donde queremos ir!
Me encanta crear joyas hermosas y únicas. Soy muy creativa y me encanta hacer feliz a las mujeres con mis obras. Soy una gran fan de un buen diseño, de las piezas creadas a mano que cuentan una historia y que elevan tu esencia. In my environment I was always surrounded by very creative family members, seamstresses, confectioners, my father is also a painter so I learned to see the world from a creative perspective.
When I was 14 years old, my mother took me to a Chinese bazaar and there I bought my first supplies for costume jewelry, crystals, pendants, leather, my first tweezers, since that time I fell in love with the idea of being a designer. At that age my aunt made me pants as I imagined them, so this was around from a very young age in my head. Then I ventured into the world of modeling and had some opportunities as a jewelry designer at that time with the support of the academy to which I belonged and my great friend Javier Torres.
I studied Mechanical Engineering, a career that allowed me to learn a lot about design, although it is different, it gave me a lot, and it allows me to see things from another perspective. I also worked with fondant cakes, I had a company selling medical supplies for several years with my husband until, after coming out of an operation and several weeks of rest, I began to make necklaces with shoe braids, very bright pendants and so on. I started again with this passion that has been with me for many years and has always been present, soon I was designing jewelry with crystals, rhinestones personalized designs for brides and sponsorship of beauty events.
Since that moment, 7 years ago, I have been dedicated to my passion, fashion design. A strong moment was when I made the decision to emigrate from my country, my children, my dreams and my hopes traveled with me. In 2019, the Renacer line came out, a collection that gave way to what we know today as Montecano, a brand of Fine Wirework mixed with natural Gems that make us fall in love through their purity and exclusivity. I am currently studying goldsmithing and we have just opened our workshop for purses and bags. So the brand grows for you.
This year our brand has been present in parades, we are in two physical stores in Quito and we have our website, we are proud to grow organically and that you know where we come from, what we offer you and where we want to go! I love creating beautiful and unique jewelry.
I am very creative and I love to make women happy with my works. I am a big fan of good design, of pieces created by hand that tell a story and elevate your essence. A good selection of your accessories can highlight your outfit, your style and show your personality!
